Fimreif: Nikon D700 gehackt

In seinem Blog erklärt Olivier Giroux, dass ihn die Gerüchte über gehackte Canon-DSLRs mit Video-Funktion dazu inspiriert haben, auch seiner Nikon dieses Feature zu verpassen. Mit Hilfe des Software-Developer-Kits von Nikon war es ihm möglich, die Firmware der D700 so umzuprogrammieren, dass sie auch Filmsequenzen aufnimmt. Allerdings muss die Kamera dafür noch via USB-Verbindung an einem Rechner angeschlossen sein. Von der Qualität ist Giroux allerdings noch nicht selbst überzeugt – und berichtet weiter, dass er in naher Zukunft versuchen wird, die Software in eine auch von anderen Usern nutzbare Form zu bringen.
